A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run some company, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filters so as to receive only real emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty if you have a cloud hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet really easy to use, and it will permit you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you have will be listed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you will notice a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you already have another mailbox with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated service with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you create using any domain name hosted in your account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate this option will be to click on that icon. In the exact same fashion you’ll be able to remove the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will inform you in case you are trying to enable a second catch-all mailbox for a certain domain name or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never change or deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.
